Kyle is the founder and CEO of K&J Tree Service, headquartered in his hometown of Hamden, Connecticut. As CEO, Kyle focuses on business development, quality control, and fostering customer relationships. Since he began K&J in 2006, Kyle has spent the past two decades growing the business to become an industry leader in delivering 24/7 tree services with a commitment to quality and integrity. He is also deeply involved in giving back to the community, participating in numerous charitable events and initiatives throughout the year. When he’s not working, Kyle enjoys spending time hiking and skiing with his family.

Edward is the chief operations manager, overseeing the day-to-day operations of 40+ tree technicians. He manages training, development, and safety compliance and plans and coordinates tree care projects. Edward is a Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP) with 20 years of golf course management experience. Outside of work, he enjoys practicing his golf swing and spending time with his family.

Rick Garner

Rick is the director of sales and marketing, spearheading K&J’s growth and marketing strategies. He also manages the company’s team of arborists and customer relations specialists. As a licensed arborist and Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP), Rick brings a unique perspective to his role, having over a decade of experience working in numerous field-based roles before transitioning to his current position. Outside of work, Rick is a DIY enthusiast and enjoys spending time with his family.

Dan is a licensed arborist performing tree assessments and estimates for New Haven County. Before this role, he worked as a tree technician, giving him a unique perspective on tree care. Dan believes in offering a holistic approach to tree work, accounting for each tree’s unique biology when designing a care plan. Aside from his passion for trees, Dan enjoys working out and spending time on his boat.

Martin is a licensed arborist performing tree assessments and estimates for Fairfield County. He has over 40 years of experience in the industry, specializing in ornamental pruning and plant healthcare. After operating his own tree care company for nearly two decades, Martin was the manager of plant healthcare at Walt Disney’s Epcot World Showcase Gardens, overseeing the care of trees from across the globe. Even when not inspecting trees, Martin is an avid outdoorsman, accompanied by his four-legged sidekick, Honey.

Mark is a licensed arborist performing tree assessments and estimates for Fairfield and New Haven Counties. He is ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualified and has over 30 years of industry experience, including time as a professional tree climber and plant healthcare specialist. When he’s not working, Mark enjoys spending time with his family and going fishing.

Gianna is the office manager, overseeing all administrative functions, including human resources, finance, and IT. Bill fitzmaurice
CUSTOMER RELATIONS

Bill works in customer relations, addressing customer concerns, assisting with scheduling and dispatching tree technicians, and supporting K&J’s community engagement initiatives. As a first aid and CPR instructor, he oversees employee emergency preparedness training. Before joining K&J, Bill spent 30 years as a firefighter/paramedic with the Hamden Fire Department, retiring as battalion chief in 2015. When he’s not working, Bill enjoys traveling to tropical destinations and spending time with his grandson.
